DevOps/SRE Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for both DevOps and SRE functions, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
DevOps:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Package and deploy applications using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery processes and reduce deployment time.
- be proficient in build and deploy of python into production and docker builds and deployment.
SRE:
- Optimize system performance and resource utilization.
- Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems.
- Respond to incidents and outages in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and availability.
- Conduct capacity planning and forecasting.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with SRE practices and tools.
- Knowledge of security best practices.
- Experience with automation frameworks like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Go.
Additional Considerations:
- Immediate Availability: The ideal candidate should be able to start immediately.
- On-site Work: The role will require some on-site presence in Chennai, India.
