Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled SCM/Changeman Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our team in Chennai, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mainframe technologies and experience utilizing SCM and Changeman tools to manage the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Source Code Management:some text
- Manage and maintain source code repositories using SCM tools (e.g., Changeman, Endevor, Git).
- Perform code branching, merging, and version control activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SCM-related issues.
- Change Management:some text
- Utilize Changeman to manage the entire software change lifecycle.
- Create, track, and prioritize change requests.
- Automate workflows and enforce development standards.
- Perform impact analysis to assess the potential impact of changes.
- Release Management:some text
- Plan and execute software releases, coordinating with development, testing, and operations teams.
- Create and maintain release documentation.
- Deploy software releases to production environments.
- Problem Solving:some text
- Diagnose and troubleshoot SCM and Changeman issues.
- Identify and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaboration:some text
- Work closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of mainframe technologies (z/OS, JCL, COBOL, DB2)
- Proven experience with SCM tools like Changeman, Endevor, Git
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., JCL, REXX)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Certification in mainframe technologies or SCM/Changeman
